Music for All Seasons: A Conversation with Maestro Maazel
Oct 17, 2007On the evening of Tuesday, October 2, Maestro Maazel engaged in a stimulating and fascinating conversation with broadcaster and writer Nancy Shear, a long-time friend and colleague. He shared his thoughts, ideas, and feelings about music, conducting, composing and orchestral development and transformation with Ms.Shear in front of a public audience.
The event took place in the elegant and historic Steinway Hall in Manhattan. Fifty friends and patrons of Music For All Seasons (www.musicforallseasons.org) attended the event, which helped to support the organization's activities in five states, serving those who would not otherwise have access to live music. Following the program, Maestro Maazel took questions from the audience and then joined the attendees, chatting informally at a cocktail reception.
