Symphonica Toscanini Finds a Home

Jul 10, 2007

Beginning next year, Maestro Maazel's Symphonica Toscanini will be in permanent residence at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in a northeastern suburb of Milan. This theater was built as a temporary home for Teatro alla Scala while the latter was being expanded upon. The house seats over two thousand and has at least twenty concerts with Symphonica Toscanini scheduled for next season. Maestro Maazel was recently appointed music director of the orchestra for life.
